Charles Hollis Jones Art Display at MOAH Museum

This year for easter, Denon and I had a nice little day with his parents. We grabbed breakfast at a local diner in our city, then headed over to the Blvd. to see the new art display by Charles Hollis Jones.

Charles Hollis Jones was born in Bloomington Indiana 1945 and is an American artist and furniture designer. He is known for his use of acrylic and lucite. Johnny Carson, Frank Sinatra and Lucille Ball were among some of the first to commission Jones to design pieces for their homes. The directors chair pictured above belonged to Dean Martin himself. And the chair with the white seat belonged to Lucille Ball and was custom made for her. These two pieces were definitely my favorite part of the entire art display! If you know me, you'd know how much I Love and Adore Dean Martin & Lucille Ball so it was really cool to see these items in person. It felt like a dream. A beautiful, crazy, amazing dream.

Also on display were these really cool shoes all made by another really talented artist whom I forgot to get the name of (I apologize!). There were so many shoes in this room, I wish I got more photos so that I could share them with you but if you're that curious, maybe you'll just have to take a trip down to see it for yourself.
There is always some neat art on display at the MOAH museum. If you're ever in the AV area, I definitely recommend checking this place out. Thank you guys for tuning in, I really appreciate it. Don't forget to check the side bar and follow me by email to be sure you never miss a brand new post!
Also be sure to follow me on instagram (I post a lot of neat photos over there).
P.S. Do you guys have any favorite artists? Mine is for sure Charles Hollis Jones which is why I am so happy I got to check out his display this past weekend. Hope you all have a wonderful day<3

  3. Beautiful pieces! I'm not that much of a design or art fan but I love visiting modern art and design museums occasionally. I would love to visit this one if I were around. :)
