For Love of the Sea

Growing up, my mom would take me on these amazing little vacations only a few hours away from home, and we would stay in little beach towns enjoying the salty air. Every trip we went on, I had to bring my giant camera with me to get all the right shots.

I always have the best memories while traveling with my mom. We would take the scenic route (AKA the longer way) to get to our destination each and every time. Once we got the view of the ocean, we would almost immediately put on old classics that we loved listening to. Everything from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, The Andrew Sisters, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, etc. You name it, we had it.

My mom always showed me the best spots in town and was always very supportive of my love for photography so she never cared that I would take thousands of photos a day.

I remember on one of our yearly trips, my mother and I stopped in a small beach town close to our destination and we stumbled upon a farmers market which was really neat! We got to try a lot of cool local foods and even did a little shopping at a local jewelry artists pop up stand. My mom was kind enough to buy me these pretty glass earrings that had a bunch of different colors in them. I wish I had a photo of them to post! But believe me, they were gorgeous.

When we finally settled into our hotel room, the first thing I wanted to do was go down to the beach and get my feet wet while slowly sinking into the sand. The ocean will always hold a special place in my heart. I feel so connected to the ocean and all living things that swim in it. The ocean is a mysterious but beautiful place and I only wish more people took better care of it.

I want to take a quick moment to thank my mama for always taking me to new places and for sharing such great memories with me. I love that you and I got to travel here and there and spend time together in such beautiful places. You are the strongest woman I know and I love you more than anything. Thank you for being such a great mother and amazing support system in my life.

I hope you all enjoyed the rest of these amazing photos! Don't forget to comment down below and let me know some of your favorite places to travel to. 5. Lovely pictures :). Our local beach has seals and when I was there last week there were 100s of them on the sand on the opposite side of the water. Couldn't believe how noisy they were. You must have made loads of wonderful memories with your mum and will stay with you for many years xx

  7. This place looks so mesmerising and it's mainly because you've captured it so well in your pictures. As for moms, they are the best, aren't they?
