New Read: Unfiltered By Lily Collins

Awhile ago I took my usual trip to the local book store and came across Lily Collins memoir that she wrote based on her past experiences and hardships. I  immediately bought it and never looked back. Though I am not yet done with the book, I have read a few chapters and I love it so far. She is so open and honest with all of the struggles, abusive past relationships, bullying and bad experiences she has gone through. She expresses ways on how to cope with your emotions and how to move forward.

I also enjoy how she spreads the message of loving yourself first and being a strong woman figure.
I think she is definitely a voice and role model for our younger generations.

This book hits home but it also inspires me to keep going every single day and to never give up. Instead we must take what life has given us and turn it into something amazing. I know when I was a lot younger, I went through a tough state of depression. I felt very alone and isolated from everyone. I know that if I had this book back then, things may have been a bit different for me but i'm glad to have it now to look back on when I need it and I'm really excited to finish it.

If you're in the market for a good book, I highly recommended this one because it will help lift your spirits and remind you how amazing you are! I love the message behind this book so much. I really think Lily is a great writer and should maybe write another one soon? Perhaps? Anyway, thank you guys so much for reading, I hope you all have an amazing day. And please leave book recommendations in the comments below, I'm always looking for a great new read!

  1. Books like this are so helpful to readers that can relate. Help look inside and even see the light at the end of depression or hardships.

  3. I love Lily Collins but haven't found a copy of her book yet. She has always seemed like an honest, sophisticated person to me, and it sounds like her book shows that about her.
