Traditions I want to keep with my daughter

My childhood when I was younger was kind of all over the place. For as long as I could remember, it was just my mom and I until I was six years old. My biological father was never really in the picture. He would call me from time to time and write me letters and whenever I got one, my mom would read them to me but he never went to a birthday party of mine, never put food on my plate, never provided for me. It was my mother who did everything for me. She was the light of my life and as much as I wanted a relationship with my dad, he was constantly focusing on himself and was always in and out of trouble.

As I got older, my mom and I started going on trips 1-2 times a year up north and stayed right on the California coastline in a hotel across the street from the ocean. We would stay two nights and spend the weekend going down main street to do some antique shopping. It was a lot of fun and it was something I looked forward to doing every year.Another tradition of ours was going to Disneyland once a year around Halloween time. My mom would order a coffee the second she got there from one of the stands and always bought a Halloween mug to go along with it. She collected them every time we went.

Now that I am older and my mom and I no longer live with each other or even close by each other, I still have been keeping our traditions alive but now I travel alongside my husband. Last year I took him to one of my all time favorite cities in northern California and we spent 3 days there, just adventuring around and creating memories. This year we are going back for a longer period of time and are making a few stops along the way. We both cant wait to travel with our baby girl and take her to new places with us each year as she continues to grow. I want her to have those memories with us forever.

I am too excited to take her to Disneyland when she's a little older and continue on with that tradition as well. I know my husband and I will also start our own family traditions once she gets here. Every single day is a step closer to becoming parents and meeting our little one. My husband and I cant wait to meet her and give her so much love. I truly enjoy when Denon rubs my belly and talks to her. It makes my heart flutter and I noticed how much more she kicks whenever he rubs me. I hope she knows how much we love her already.

I hope you guys enjoyed this little update. I know I have been slacking on keeping the blog updated but that is going to be changing here soon. Thank you guys for reading and for sticking around.
Stay beautiful my loves!
xo, Vanessa
